11947735463_31f5041d89_bWe support the British government’s main aims overseas: helping British nationals, keeping Britain safe, and making Britain prosperous.

We work on the economic and trade aspects of the bilateral relations between UK and Ireland, advising the British government on Irish policy, and improving Anglo-Irish work in areas such as foreign policy, the EU, science and innovation, energy, sustainable development, climate change, illegal immigration and counter-terrorism.

We support the UK’s foreign policy goals in Ireland and maintain a strong diplomatic relationship between the two countries, as well as protecting British nationals in Ireland. This work is carried out by the staff of the British Embassy in Dublin.
