Speaking to over a hundred businesses in London at a reception this lunchtime with Taoiseach Enda Kenny, organised by the British Irish Chamber with lawfirm McCann Fitzgerald, the Chamber’s Director General John McGrane said the addition of a further 370,000 flyers on the route last year proves the importance of the huge trade and tourism links between Ireland and the UK. ” The UK is our biggest two-way trading partner” he said “and this growth underpins over a billion euros a week of trade between us and over 400,00 jobs as a result “.
