Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism: A Post-Brexit Vision to 2020

The British Irish Chamber of Commerce Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism Committee has organised a mini seminar entitled ‘Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism:  A Post-Brexit Vision to 2020’ on Thursday 29 June at 8am in the ​Ailesbury​ Suite of the InterContinental Hotel​, Dublin 4. This event is kindly sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland.

This FREE event will allow speakers and attendees the opportunity to converse and address the key concerns and potential opportunities that will arise for the Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism sectors as a consequence of Brexit. The morning will consist of 2 panel discussions, with ‘Opportunity’ being the common theme.

 

Moderator:
Jim Glennon – Chairman of Edelman, Former TD and Irish Rugby International and Sports Commentator

Panel 1 will address the impact on ‘Competitiveness’ topics addressed within this panel will include but not exclusive to the Travel tax, the reduced VAT rate, Infrastructure and resources for sectors.

Peter Collins – Irish Hotel Federation
Eoghan O’Mara Walsh – Irish Tourist Industry Confederation ITIC

 

Panel 2 will look at the consequences for ‘Connectivity’ between the UK and Ireland – topics addressed within this panel will include – the Common Travel Area, the UK – Ireland visa schemes, All-island sporting and cultural events and synergies between the UK and Ireland across the CAST sector.
