Claire Tighe

Head of UK Political Relations

 

Claire joined the British Irish Chamber of Commerce in October 2017 as Head of UK Political Relations. In this role, Claire assists with the Chamber’s political strategy and engagement in Westminster, Brussels and the devolved assemblies.

Claire is also Director of Banba Communications – a public affairs consultancy that works specifically with London Irish networks. She previously managed the SDLP’s Westminster Office, and was Director of the Irish4Europe campaign during the referendum on EU membership in 2016.

Claire is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and has an MSc in Social and Public Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her research focused on the impact the 2011 Royal visit to Ireland had on Anglo Irish relations.

Claire is involved in the Ireland Funds of Great Britain Young Leaders, IIBN Future Leaders Programme, ICAP’s Development Committee and London Irish Voices.
